This is an update to clarify the weather situation in Arenal.  Typically Arenal has good weather all year, but there are times where you can see heavy down pours, however Costa Rica really needs these down pours in Arenal as it put water in the lake which powers the country.  Costa Rica is powered by around 80% renewable energy and the goal is to have it 100% within the next coming years. One of the worlds most active volcanoes, the Arenal Volcano this week put on a fabulous fireworks display as it erupted last week 2 times.  Typically at night you can see the volcano glowing as lava flows down the volcanoes North Western face, however over the last week visitors have been treated to a glowing lava eruption like it was Guy Fawkes Night in England.
